Naming ceremonies might take the place instead of a traditional Christening or Baptism following the joyous occasion of the birth of a baby. They can also be arranged for welcoming adopted children or step-children into a family, or for adults who have changed their identity, whether through a gender transition or otherwise.
I can work with you to create a memorable and unique occasion for your naming ceremony, with poems and readings to suit. As an independent, civil celebrant, you may choose to have the ceremony that YOU desire.
Your naming ceremony can include some religious content if you choose, or you may prefer for it to remain entirely non-religious. It is my job to give you the ceremony that works for you.
Fees:
For naming ceremonies which last around half an hour - whether for new babies, welcoming adopted children, or for new identities, I have a standard fee which is £200*.
This includes:
~ Initial meeting to create your ceremony.
~ A draft script of the ceremony for your approval.
~ Delivery of your ceremony on the day.
~ A script of your ceremony for you to keep.
*Travel expenses may be applicable.
